Keeping Green - The Enchanted Forest

This week we've touched on the colour green in a wedding palette. But do you know what else is green? Leaves, grass, trees - foliage! What better way to incorporate green into your wedding then by choosing to have a forest wedding, or an outdoor lawn wedding?

We touched on this theme briefly in the 2013 top trends. But very conveniently in the current issue of QB there is a gorgeous styling inspiration feature that suits today's blog perfectly…
The Enchanted Forest:
Overgrown florals, elaborate detailing and whimsical fashion combine to create a fairytale wedding wonderland.
Concept & Styling
The Main Event Weddings created a romantic ‘love-story’ with an old-world, enchanted setting. Creative styling & overall theming was assisted by Styled Events.
Flowers:The Butterfly Lounge.
Overgrown ivy, berries and roses enabled the floral concept to be 'at one' with the wilderness of the forest setting.
Dress: MXM Couture
A gown that floated above the forest floor complete with detailed lace & free form structure; the perfect princess in a fairytale setting.
Suit: The Cloak Room.
Burgundy slacks and a steel- inspired suit jacket combined sharp lines with a twist of colour to create an ideal modern-day prince.
Hair and Makeup: Jo Twidale
Jo added volume to the bride's naturally red hair for luminous flowing locks.Teamed with a fresh & clean make- up style, she achieved the perfect romantic look.
Location: Brisbane City Botanic Gardens
Historical oak trees and dense gardens provided a whimsical forest setting in the heart of Brisbane City.
Stationery: Invitation Station
Striking black, tree motifs and passionate red florals tied into the ethereal style of the shoot.
