Friday I'm In Love : All That Glitters

It's true ladies, all that glitters really is gold. Warm and inviting golds are the perfect accent tones to feature in your Summer wedding colour palette.

I've had too many women tell me that gold is not their colour, that it's not flattering or only old ladies wear gold. While I'm here to tell you to forget all those stereotypes and not to stress about your skin type, there is a shade of gold to flatter every skin type and it will light you up from the inside out on your special day.

They say that diamonds are a girls best friend, why not pair them with pearls in this gorgeous necklace? For the girls and guys who aren't ready to go completely gold, this attention grabbing yellow diamond ring or mixed metal ring is ideal.

Smoother than honey, cleansing oils are more forgiving on your skin than abrasive scrubs or foams and are fantastic for keeping your skin hydrated throughout the day. Once your skin is prepped for the day bring the warmth into your eyes with deep purples and shimmering golds.

Carry the glow all the way to your finger tips with personalised nail art just for your special day. Sweet pastels are a feminine way to tie in gold for a subdued delicate effect.

Why not accent your gold theme with a feature colour? What a gorgeous alternative to a traditional cake that will be remembered for years to come.

Wedding dresses don't have to be white anymore. Stand out with a warmer tone like latte, Champagne, mushroom or nude and make use of soft floating layers to create depth. Perfect for 2013 Autumn weddings too.

Don't just look a million bucks on your special day, smell like it too! Don't be afraid to choose a new scent for your wedding, then you'll always be reminded of your beautiful day whenever you use your special scent.

Brisbane Urban Elegance: Kristian + Moira

The Tognini name is well known in Brisbane with Kristian Tognini’s father running Tognini’s Hair Skin & Body and his uncle the Tognini’s cafes and bistros around town. So we knew the wedding of Kristian and Moira O’Callaghan was going to be a wonderful family affair – and the hair was going to be gorgeous!

This elegant celebration didn’t disappoint, full of fun, laughter and delightful details. The groom cut a dashing figure beside his gorgeous bride – and we love the sunny splash of yellow in the styling too, so uplifting!

Moira's stunning Karen Willis Holmes wedding gown

The Proposal
“Kristian proposed in Central Park New York, over a takeaway breakfast from Dean and De Luca. I had no idea. We enjoyed the day walking around Central Park and called our family back home. Kristian had asked my dad a few weeks before who had kept it a secret from my mum! That evening we had an amazing surprise dinner at Spice Market to celebrate.”

Kristian looking all handsome ...

Special Memory
“Taking the time to hug and say thank you to everyone when we were walking down the aisle to the recessional song. (I think our piano player had to replay the song a few times!) It was really worth seeing everyone and being able to show our gratitude to them for attending.”

Perfect spot for some pre-reception pictures, sunset on the grounds of the couple's reception venue GOMA

love the pops of yellow throughout the styling

Gorgeous reception location, The GOMA roof top terrace looks out over the Brisbane River with views of the city skyline and Kurilpa Bridge ..

The newlyweds snap a few 'selfies' while they can ...

And lastly, we just love this shot Marcus quickly captured of the couple taking a private moment before turning the corner to announce their arrival at the reception. Congratulations Kristian + Moira!
