Real Life Wedding : Peta + Pat

Rainbow Bright! Remember Peta and Pat from their amazing engagement shoot we featured on the blog last year? (Which, by the way, was our very first engagement shoot featured on the blog! Check it out : http://queenslandbrides.blogspot.com.au/2011/04/qb-loves-real-life-1950s-engagement.html

Well now they’re married! Held at Murphy’s Creek Escape, a bushland setting half an hour from Toowoomba, the reception featured a silk-lined marquee lovingly styled by Peta with pieces from her own enviable ‘op shop’ collection. We love the vibrant pops of colour (that rainbow cake!), vintage details, personal touches and the bride’s superb Dolce&Gabbana frock.

The white dress is Peta's reception party frock!

Congratulations to Peta and Pat!

Relaxed fun

Funniest Moment
"We have had some seriously funny moments in our lives together and are always playing tricks on one another (and Peter is always accidently running Emma over in the car)".

Special Memory
"Watching the sun come up over Mount Warning before we even kissed".

Special Thanks
"To our wonderful families, and friends who all helped us immensley. Our day was perfect and we couldn't have done it without you. Tahnee for the great hair, Larissa for the gorgeous flowers. Jody for the incredible ring, and Tricia for the outstanding pictures she took - we will treasure them forever".

Advice / Comments
"Planning a DIY wedding is really stressful, but the next day you realise how perfect it was and you want to relive it again, and again, and again. Choose things that will make the lead up and the day as stress-free as possible. Do you really need bombonieres? Is it necessary to have seating arrangements? People are there for you, nothing more".
