Inspiration Board > Summer River Style

We love a good inspiration board here at the QB blog and now that the weather is heating up with the approach of Summer, we find here at the QB headquarters we are increasingly sharing our summertime day dreams of spending days down by the water side, crisp cool breezes and lounging in the shade! We thought it was a very suitable time to feature our Summer River Style feature to get you in the mood!

Friday I'm in Love : Spring Garden Gorgeous! A Kingaroy Wedding.

We love the vintage-inspired country romance of Christopher Adriaan and Kylie Woolnough's Kingaroy wedding. Kylie looked gorgeous in an elegant strapless gown from Rendezvous Designs with blooms from Erin at Vera and Rose (who also took care of the lush styling). The floral theme continued through to the sweet bridesmaids gowns and the many, many beautiful vases of flowers in the silk-lined marquee. Three black Buicks ferried the bridal party to the local church then back to Taabinga Homestead  (circa 1846) for fun and games. Sign us up for reception sack races!

Early morning breakfast on the veranda (notice the gum boots?)

Polka dot straws!

Sharing a special (and fun!) moment under Kylie's veil ...

Kylie's bling!

Love. These. Heels.

The beautiful bride and her four bridesmaids, all with matching polka dot lace gloves.

The guests gather outside St Michael and All Angel’s Anglican Church, Kingaroy

Someone say popcorn? Yes please! Here is just a sample of some of the popcorn flavours Chris and Kylie had on offer:
white chocolate marshmallow and macadamia
wicked chocolate
strawberries and cream
chocomello
hot and spicy
macho nacho
big cheese ... YUM!

Reception venue : The heritage listed Taabinga Homestead

Real Life Townsville Wedding : Terese loves Lucas!

We love the spectacular backdrops and gorgeous blue details (those shoes!) at the wedding of Terese O'Reilly and Lucas McCallum.

The proposal:
Lucas bought the ring when he returned from a tour of service in Afghanistan. He held on to it for three years!! When he did finally decide the time was right, I came home after a horrible day at work to find a huge bunch of gorgeous flowers, and the open ring box on the kitchen bench. He’d made a sign that simply said, ‘Terese, will you marry me?’. I was expecting a proposal for so long, but he still managed to surprise me!

Special Touches
We had our hair and makeup done early enough to come home, and sit down for a proper lunch with my family before getting dressed. I would hate to be hungry standing there saying my vows! Also, we did a ring warming ceremony, where our rings were passed through all our guests for them to bless with their wishes for our future. Everyone commented that this made them feel very included.
